The Sparrow 200R Self-braking Descender by Climbing Technology for rope access was developed for high workloads. It allows the operator to lower himself onto the working rope, to then re-position himself and to climb back onto it.

It is ideal in case of assisted lowering of two people with the device installed at the anchor point (the operator lowering the rescuer with the injured person) or in case of simultaneous lowering of two people (the rescuer lowering together with the injured person). The Climbing Technology Sparrow 200R Self Braking Descender is the result of intensive technical research and development.

The EBS (Extraordinary Braking System) offers superior breaking and the multi-functional handle with automatic return provides superior descent control while limiting involuntary action. It allows you to unblock the rope position without having to tie off. It allows for short ascent and the assembly of a reversible haul system.

The floating cam design forces users to load the rope preventing accidental “reverse loading”. Rope adjustment device certified to EN 12841:2006-C. Rescue descender certified to EN 341:2011-2A. To be used only with static and semi static ropes certified to EN 1891 type A, 10.5 to 11mm.

The Sparrow was designed to be used in conjunction with the Easy Move backup device.

  • Descent and rescue device EN 341: 2011-2A, maximum working load 150 or 200 kg, maximum descent height 180 m, to be used exclusively with the ropes indicated in the table.
  • Rope adjustment device / descender EN 12841: 2006-C, maximum working load 210 kg, to be used with EN 1891-A ropes - Ø 10.5 ÷ 11 mm.

  • Multifunctional control lever with automatic return system that allows the operator to descend at a controlled speed and stop at the work point without stop keys.
  • Equipped with a retractable rope friction point that allows you to create additional friction on the rope, during the descent, without using an additional connector. The shape of the friction point has been improved in order to have even more effective string control.
  • EBS (Extraordinary Braking System) safety system which activates when the lever is accidentally pulled to the bottom, decreasing the descent speed instead of increasing it.
  • Equipped with a safety lever on the mobile flange that facilitates the installation of the rope in the passage of the splits.
