An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. The rope leg is a hard wearing alternative to a webbing lanyard where the lanyard runs over edges and rough surfaces. Choose the 1.8m or the shorter 1.2m length with steel H1 snap hooks at each end, or the 1.8m version with an H1 snap hook one end and an H3 scaffold hook the other for scaffold tube and larger anchors. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
