This is a SpanSet ERGOPLUS model: it is rated for a user mass up to 140kg and uses SpanSet's patented iWeb webbing with lightweight aluminium hooks. The elasticised legs contract when not under load to reduce the trip and snag hazard, and the two legs give continuous 100 percent tie off as you move between anchors. It is fitted with aluminium H1 and H3 scaffold hooks. An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
