This is a SpanSet ERGOPLUS model: it is rated for a user mass up to 140kg and uses SpanSet's patented iWeb webbing with lightweight aluminium hooks. The webbing is elasticised so it contracts when not under load, which keeps the lanyard short and out of the way and reduces the trip and snag hazard as you move around. An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. Choose aluminium H1 hooks at each end, or an aluminium H1 hook and an H3 scaffold hook. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
