This is a SpanSet ERGOPLUS model: it is rated for a user mass up to 140kg and uses SpanSet's patented iWeb webbing with lightweight aluminium hooks. The two legs give continuous 100 percent tie off, so you keep one leg clipped to the next anchor before releasing the other as you move. It carries an aluminium H1 hook at the energy absorber end and an aluminium H3 scaffold hook on each leg for scaffold tube and larger anchors. An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
