This is a SpanSet ERGOPLUS model: it is rated for a user mass up to 140kg and uses SpanSet's patented iWeb webbing with lightweight aluminium hooks. Each leg carries a rope adjuster so you can shorten the legs to take up slack and reduce the potential fall distance, and the two legs give continuous 100 percent tie off as you move between anchors. It is fitted with an aluminium K10 triple action karabiner at the absorber end and aluminium double action scaffold hooks on the legs. An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
