This is a SpanSet ERGOPLUS model: it is rated for a user mass up to 140kg and uses SpanSet's patented iWeb webbing with lightweight aluminium hooks. An energy absorbing lanyard connects a full body harness to an anchor point. In a fall the tear web energy absorber tears open in a controlled way to limit the shock loading passed to the body, which is what makes it a fall arrest lanyard rather than a plain restraint strap. The lighter aluminium hooks reduce the weight carried on the harness over a long shift. Choose aluminium H1 snap hooks at each end, or an aluminium H1 hook one end and an aluminium H3 scaffold hook the other for tying off to scaffold tube and larger structures. It is built for personal fall arrest use in a full body harness under AS\/NZS 1891.1. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
