It passes around the pole and clips back to the side D rings of a work positioning harness so the worker can lean back into the strap and keep both hands free. It carries two steel H1 double action snap hooks and a webbing adjuster to set the loop to the diameter of the pole. Choose the 2.5m or 3.5m length for the pole size you work on, or the 2.5m version fitted with a Secutex sleeve that protects the strap from wear and holds it clear as you climb. This is a work positioning device, not a fall arrest lanyard: it holds you in position and must be used with a separate fall arrest system where there is a risk of a free fall. Inspect it before every use and have it inspected by a competent height safety inspector at least every six months.
